Goodbye.....Just for a little while
So today, Marcus went back to Sweden after being here for 3 and half weeks. He's going back for another 3 weeks and then he will be permanently moving to the U.K
Saying goodbye sucks. I know it's the last time I will have to do it , but without him here it feels like part of me is missing :(
He truly is the love of my life, an amazing person who I can't wait to share my life with :)

And the Geek shall inherit the earth
I went into our local town the other day to take my son swimming. Whilst buying something in Topshop, the assistant told me that our Geek shop in town was closing and they were having a 70% sale on everything!
Although the store closure is really sad, I got some AMAZING bargains! Marcus and I would quite often walk around the store making a mental wish list of things we'd like if money were no object. Sadly, a lot of it was out of our price range , but in the sale I got a few gems that I'd had my eye on for ages!!
First I got some plushy Angry Birds for my son , he loves the game and the toys. Then for Marcus I got some awesome Simpsons collectibles including a jack-in-a-box Krusty :D
For myself I got............
Stay Puft marshmallow man money box! Absolutely my favourite character from one of my favourite films :) I first saw one of these in Forbidden Planet about 3 years ago and finally he is mine!
Next was the Rob Zombie voodoo doll. A great collectible that again I'd been after for a little while.
Next up is a plushy Cthulhu, I'm a real sucker for anything with Cthulhu on it and this little guy is just the cutest! He can sit happily with my plushy Dr Zoidberg :D
and finally.......I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I also love anything pink. I'd seen this in the shop a little while ago and when it had 70% of it also, I knew I had to have it! It was released as a special edition with some of the proceeds going to breast cancer care.............A pink Darth Vader helmet!
Now all we need is our new display unit in the living room for our pretties to sit on! May the (pink) force be with you!

Moroccan Oil
Over the last couple of years , I've been every hair colour from black to white to orange, purple, green and red. Unfortunately , all this colouring has taken it's toll on my poor hair (especially the bleaching!) Since then , I've been testing different products to help manage my hair whilst the damage grows out. I didn't want to cut my hair short , so the only option was to care for it as best I could and gradually trim off the damage.
I had some success with Redken products , but I've now found a little miracle!
This is Moroccanoil.....yes it is expensive , but on my length hair (armpit length) I only need an amount the size of a 5p piece. I had a sample bottle originally and this lasted forever!
I have to say its brilliant stuff. Doesn't leave my hair oily (don't apply on your roots though) and gives my hair a great shine. It actually feels healthier. I have tried other brands versions of this and they weren't as good. This combined with my Treseme shampoo and conditioner and less straightning , has really helped rescue my damaged locks!
I would recommend you try a sample first. Use a 5p size blob on damp hair , rub between your palms and then apply to the ends of the hair first before smoothing a tiny amount over the top of your hair. Then blow dry.
Let me know if you try it and what you think! :) x

Worldwide Gothic
Well I've had my eye on this book for ages. I knew it was being released and I put it on my Amazon wish list and then forgot about it! But I got some money for my birthday so thought I'd treat myself! The book is called Worldwide Gothic by Natasha Scharf.
I haven't had a chance to read it through yet , but I would definitely recommend it if you're interested in Gothic subculture. Although I wouldn't class myself as a "Goth" (I like pink too much ;) I am interested in Alternative fashion, music and social culture. I'm looking forward to reading it in depth! I'll do a proper review when I'm done. You can buy the book at www.amazon.co.uk
Happy Birthday To Me!
So this year I was 31.........eeek! Have to say I don't feel it and I still get asked for I.D (thank you skincare!) so Im not panicking yet, but 31 just seems so old!! :/
Anyway , we had my son (he lives equally between myself and his dad) so we had a reasonably quiet day. I got a lovely silver necklace from my boyfriend and Game of Thrones on Blu-Ray
My mum got me lots of sweets and chocolates , and my son got me a Think Pink Lush gift set which has a lot of my favourites in :)
We went into our local town and had Nando's for lunch which is a favourite of us all and a great child friendly resturant, and then on the way home we took my son to the park to burn off some energy!

Pretty Things!
So the other day , Marcus and I went shopping in my local town. I needed a few bits and pieces as I seemed to have run out of everything at once! I hate it when that happens ;/ so I went and got my foundation, hair dye and all that stuff but I also needed a new diary / organiser for this year. Yes , I know it's not January! but for me the new year always starts in September. I guess its a throw back from being in education a lot over the years , but also this year my little one starts school , so a September year makes sense!
I settled on this one from Paperchase (www.paperchase.co.uk)
It's pink with Kawaii style characters ;) also couldn't resist the matching pen (I always feel more organised if I can match stuff!!!) and I needed a new calculator for my work stuff , so I bought that too! Here's a close up of the print
I also got a Blu-Ray Tim Burton box set. I'm a big Tim Burton fan, especially the original Batman movies and The Corpse Bride. This great box set contains Batman, Batman Returns, Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeny Todd and The Corpse Bride. It also came with a book containing some great pictures from the films. This little gem was in the sale for £25 at HMV
And this little cutie to brighten up my keys.........

I love Lamp!
Hee hee , I bought this little guy for Halloween last year and I found him whilst re-organising the other day. I love Halloween and all the spooky things you can get to buy at that time. I think this little bat lamp will live permanently in my room now! I love Lamp!

The Gothic Shop
Just a quick post about one of my all time favourite online stores, The Gothic Shop http://www.the-gothic-shop.co.uk/. I've been ordering from them for over 3 years now and they never fail to dissapoint. Great prices , items and customer services.
Here's a few of my favourite items of the moment............
Keyhole lace top by Folter (http://www.the-gothic-shop.co.uk/keyhole-lace-back-folter-p-4613.html) I think this would look great with leggings or skinny jeans.
Awesome bat cardigan from Sourpuss, great for keeping warm in the winter (http://www.the-gothic-shop.co.uk/black-bats-purple-cardigan-sourpuss-p-3814.html)
Loving this high waisted skirt from Nessacary Evil (http://www.the-gothic-shop.co.uk/amalthea-high-waisted-studded-skirt-necessary-evil-p-4109.html) I have a shirt from this company that would look good with this.
So pay a visit to The Gothic Shop , they also have menswear and baby wear!

OPI
Well as a nail technician and beauty therapist, I use the brand OPI for nail polish. I love their colour range and the quality of the products is great. Even better, I get them at trade prices!! They quite often have special edition ranges , last year I purchased the Katy Perry range and The Muppets range at Christmas. The glitter polishes are amazing , really dense glitter that looks great on it's own or on top of another polish. This year is no exception!
First to be released is The So So Skullicious mini pack, I'll probably try and get the full size of these colours but I just adore the sugar skull packaging!
They are also releasing a James Bond inspired range, including an 18 karat gold leaf shatter top coat........
I think this would look amazing over red or black for the holiday season!! You can get more details at www.opi.com
